Former Dallas Cowboys All Star Greg Ellis Launches 'Juneteenth the Play' Streaming on June 20th

LOS ANGELES - June 20, 2020 - PRLog -- Greg Ellis is known for his landmark NFL career as a member of the Dallas Cowboys. Now a playwright and producer, Greg Ellis is preparing for the launch of his highly anticipated play, "Juneteenth the Play". As an original theatrical work written and produced by Greg Ellis, "Juneteenth the Play" tells the powerful story of Juneteenth and its significance as "Freedom Day" for African Americans. The play is scheduled to stream nationally and globally on June 20th at 8:30 pm Eastern.

In addition to the streaming of his original play, it is his hope that Juneteenth become a national holiday. "Currently Juneteenth is a state holiday in 47 states. It is my hope that it becomes a national holiday. It is truly a significant day to celebrate in our nation--the day that Texas freed its slaves signifying the end of slavery in America. I am proud to be a part of the storytelling process to share this powerful story", says Greg Ellis, Playwright/Producer.

As he prepares for the upcoming streaming date, Greg Ellis has teamed up with several collaborative partners including Communities In Schools Dallas Region(CISDR),  Juneteenth Fort Worth, HBCU Heroes, Frederick Douglas Juneteenth Celebration (New Jersey),The Players Coalition, the Dallas Cowboys and the NFL.

The Dallas Cowboys and the NFL have joined forces to help raise awareness about "Juneteenth The Play."

"Juneteenth the Play" will stream live via Giniko USA TV on June 20th. Viewers can watch the play on Giniko USA TV's website, or the Juneteenth website listed below. Viewers can also watch the play via Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Apple Devices, Android Devices, Android TV, and Chromecast. "Juneteenth the Play" is set to stream live on June 20th at 8:30 pm Eastern/7:30 pm Central/ 5:30 pm Pacific.
