BANGALORE, India - July 10, 2020 - PRLog -- Akshay, a degree student of Amritha College went upset on his birthday, as the costliest cake he ordered for his celebration was not up to his taste or choice. He don't want that happen again also to anyone. He thought a mobile app like zomato or swiggy that exclusive for birthdays would have made his day. Nithin one of the colleagues suggested him to develop an App as there is no typical service available in market but both lack technical knowledge.

Akshay and Nithin posted their idea in startupcell.org and mentors of that portal asked them to submit a detailed project idea also suggested in getting a Tech-savvy person in team. Mentors provided various online courses in developing the App and taught the team design thinking, lean start-up methodology for developing Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or prototype and got incubated in a TBI . Soon this Apps will hit the market with Investor support.

Project based learning is a student-centered pedagogy that involves a dynamic classroom approach in which it is believed that students acquire a deeper knowledge through active exploration of real-world challenges and problems.

"In last 3 decades many of the biggest successful startups are originated in campus (eg. Google , Facebook , redbus, yahoo  etc) ;   where students without having any business experience created unicorns or multibillion dollar Businesses using principles of "Project Based Learning"." as said by Mr. Sujai G Pillai, The Project Coordinator at STARTUPCELL.

Sujai is also founder of one of pioneering online tutoring portal www.2tion.com , one of the top ten viral marketing campaigns in world #BookBucketChallenge and co-founder  startups like mandapam , One Library Per Village and 2 time winner of Limca Book of Records .  He is one among 20 MyGov Ambassadors selected under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Digital India Samvaad and also a "Mentor of Change" in Atal Innovation Mission, a flagship initiative set up by the NITI Aayog.
