Amazon's Inventory Performance Index (IPI) threshold for storage limits is increasing from 400 to 500 on August 16, 2020.

PEARL RIVER, N.Y. - Aug. 13, 2020 - PRLog -- ALGO Online Retail is the lead provider of support, training, and tools for online businesses selling name brand products on Amazon. They have 100+ years of e-commerce experience on their team. ALGO recently put together an article outling everything FBA Sellers need to know about the upcoming Amazon storage limit changes.

Amazon is making this change to better manage their fulfillment centers, receive products faster, and deliver products faster. Storage limits are based on volume, measured in cubic feet. The Inventory Performance Index (IPI) threshold for storage limits is increasing from 400 to 500 on August 16, 2020. Sellers who have an Inventory Performance Index (IPI) greater than 500 on either of the two checkpoint dates will not receive storage limits for standard-size, oversize, apparel, and footwear items. That is four out of the six storage categories. The new storage limit changes will affect sellers with an IPI score lower than 500. It will be calculated using a few different factors.
