NEW YORK - Aug. 25, 2020 - PRLog -- Actor/Model/Singer-Songwriter, Benjamin Hey! to drop "Balls!" on MLB's Jackie Robinson Day!

August 28, 1963 was the date that the Rev. Martin Luther King led the March on Washington. In the sports world, history was being made in the office of Branch Rickey, owner of the Brooklyn Dodgers. A young baseball player by the name of Jackie Robinson would be courted by Rickey about a future in the majors. Jackie Robinson would eventually become the first African American to play in Major League Baseball.
This Friday, August 28th, MLB will be celebrating the legendary heavy hitter Jackie Robinson. It is also the release date of Benjamin Hey!'s latest baseball themed single... "Balls!"

As a provocative artist, the idea came to merge the subjects baseball, body positivity and sex!
"As a daily songwriter, I never know what my inspiration is going to be. "Balls!" came in easily after a conversation about baseball and thoughts about sex. When I stepped up to the microphone to record it, I was channeling James Brown & Lizzo, one a 60s legend and the other a contemporary musical force. I imagined myself stepping to the plate and I channeled Jackie Robinson who I also shout out on the song. During this pandemic, I made a commitment to focus on my music, entertain my audience and make them smile. I chose August 28th as a release date to pay homage to MLK & Jackie. I hope to make history in my own way!" - BH!

Balls! is a jock jam that has elements of trap, hip-hop, pop and a comedic playful touch. "Balls!" will be available for streaming this Friday 8/28 on Spotify, Apple Music, Tidal, Amazon, Deezer and most music platforms internationally.

Benjamin Hey! is an actor/singer/songwriter/model based in New York City. His passion for music took him to Los Angeles where he followed long time collaborator and well known L.A. based producer Jonny On The Rocks (JOTR), who has worked with Prince, LL Cool J and Rachel Platten. He co-produced "Balls!"

In 2018, Benjamin Hey! also had the honor of collaborating with Hollywood darling, Laverne Cox on her music debut and Billboard Clubplay smash "Beat For The Gods". He also got to co-star in Marvel's The Punisher episode titled Kandahar.

2019 had Benjamin emerging as a "bro-cialite," making rounds of events, increasing his visibility and inspiring a new persona called "The Captain." One could catch Benjamin out and about in his signature captain hat...a look that has been captured on the red carpet by Getty Images & other sources.

2020 started off with a bang as Benjamin released a music video filmed in Paris titled "Scene Of The Crime." That video led to further exposure and a chance meeting with a model scout. Upon his publicist's urging Benjamin followed up and booked his first runway show for Harlem Fashion Week @ New York Fashion Week 2020. The Captain wound up walking for not one but three designers (Allan Virgo, Twisted World & Mario Miguelito)
