OKEECHOBEE, Fla. - Aug. 24, 2020 - PRLog -- Saturday, August 22, 2020, Allen Ellison, Democratic Congressional Nominee for FL 17 was interviewed by Emmy Award winning actress Kristen Johnston during the No Dem Left Behind inaugural gala in order to bring in big dollars for their Democratic Congressional Candidates in rural red districts. This virtual gala, a first for many, given the pandemic, showcased celebrities dedicated to ensuring a win for NDLB coalition member candidates and other democrats around the country. The night was moderated by American Politician, Richard Ojeda, and hosted by distinguished celebrities: Brooklyn Dad, Rosie O'Donnell, Debra Messing, Mark Hamill, Piper Harebo, Kristen Johnston and Brent Terhune all in the name of supporting the idea that this coalition of rural dems do exist. The event gave candidates an opportunity to prove themselves on a national stage and provided voters with choices worth voting for in rural red states.

Allen Ellison, 2018 and 2020 Democratic nominee, currently running for election to the U.S. House of Representatives to represent Florida's 17th Congressional District is representing the largest and most diverse congressional district in the state of Florida.

Kristen Johnson asked Ellison and other congressional Florida candidates, Dr. Cindy Banyai (FL19) and Adam Christensen (FL 3), how has the Trump administration impacted your district in the last four years. Ellison expressed that, "Trump's lack of leadership has stirred an "awakening" in the people, and it is in some of the most pivotal moments when Trump "rails off," people are reminded that there is a need for a new path forward along with a desire for "improving the quality of life."

As Ellison moves forward in the political race, he remains faithful and passionate in continuing to be the voice that Florida's 17th district deserves, however, he believes there are a few ways in which the people who believe in his platform can assist — "People are resources." Ellison represents nine counties and his team has built a coalition of analysts and writers to push the agenda A New Path Forward. While having a strong team, Ellison believes, "He who controls the media, controls the people." As he observes and understands how the media works, Ellison is calling for influencers, volunteers who can persuade the people to register to vote, and for an array of individuals who can work in the social media arena. Other Congressional Candidates representing their tickets were Mia Mason (Maryland), Tom Palzewicz (Wisconsin), Natalie Cline (Virginia), Lindsey Simmons (Missouri), Gary Wegmen (Pennsylvania), Devin Pandy (Georgia), Blair Walsingham (Tennessee), and Rob Anderson (Louisiana).
