Follow on Google News | Capital College becomes the first higher-education institution in the UAE to become a member of PRMEBy: Capital College Capital College will work around the six pillars or principles of PRME and aim to develop a sense of responsibility in their students and create a balance between economic and sustainable goals. In alignment with the UN Global Compact, Capital College as a PRME's member will equip today's aspirers to become tomorrow's world leaders who make a difference to the society. In line with the six valued principles of PRME, Capital College will work towards developing capabilities of sustainable ethics and values, thereby contributing to an inclusive global economy. The college will also incorporate academic activities, curricula and organisation practices that revolve around global social responsibility and create an educational framework, processes, materials and environment that set an example for effective learning experiences, thereby encouraging responsible leadership. In addition to this, Capital College plans to create a dialogue between students, educators, businesses, government and the general public by serving as a platform to voice critical issues under the global social responsibility and sustainability. Commenting after becoming a signatory to the PRME, Dr Vikas Nand Kumar Batheja, Director, Capital College, states "It is indeed an honour to be associated with one of the world's largest organized relationship between United Nations and management-related higher education institutions. With sustainability having gained momentum in the recent times, it only makes it more relevant and appropriate for us to become an active member of PRME-UN. Through this initiative, we aim to build a community where tomorrow's business tycoons and CEOs' will incorporate sustainability as part of their business propositions."
