LANGPORT, U.K. - Sept. 21, 2020 - PRLog -- The Hair Lodge was purchased by Jemma Pyke on 03/08/2020 and during the following 2 months the business has been re-branded as Lucy Jorge. During this time Jemma has assembled her team of hair stylists and beauty therapists, re-styled the salon and selected the brands the salon will be working with. Historically hair and beauty products have been involved in animal testing and have had a huge impact on the environment. We have selected products that do not test on animals and are more environmentally friendly, especially with our two biggest selling brands, Kevin Murphy for hair and Tropic Skincare for beauty. As a salon we have also made changes to reduce our carbon footprint and reduce water wastage. Starting Lucy Jorge during the COVID-19 pandemic we also wanted to help support our staff. It is commonplace for people working in a salon to be self-employed and effectively rent space in the salon. During the current crisis we wanted to offer more stability to our team and have bucked the trend and offered our staff employment contracts and the associated security. The salon has remained open since the purchase on 03/08/2020 however it is officially being launched on 01/10/2020 with a COVID secure, socially distanced video event.
