Follow on Google News | Senses Vegan Comfort Food is Creating Culinary Excellence in Norfolk...one vegan dish at a timeVegan Restauranteur, Stephanie of Senses Vegan, a Plant based vegan Take-out Restaurant Dedicated to providing tasty vegan alternatives with soulful flavored comfort food that excites your "Senses"!
Stephanie, owner/operator of Senses Vegan Comfort Food, is passionate about spreading the vegan experience to her Vegan and Vegan Curious family and friends. She is dedicated to providing a comfortable environment for Vegans and those interested in the Vegan lifestyle. Stephanie knows firsthand how the Coronavirus crises has adversely impacted small business, and especially local restaurants. Many restaurants across the nation have permanently closed their doors, while others are struggling to stay afloat. Stephanie is determined to be a beacon of light to her community, in the midst of it all. As such, her restaurant Senses Vegan Comfort Food, is currently running a special promotion. Here are the deets: When customers purchase a $20 meal, you have the opportunity to pay it forward and purchase a $20 meal for a needy family. When customers pay it forward, their names will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a $50 gift card from the restaurant. Senses Vegan Comfort Food will have a special day whereas all donated food will be distributed to families in need throughout the Norfolk community. "I just want families to know that we are here for them. We understand that there are food insecurities right now within our own community and we want to help out in any way that we can. We are all in this together", said Stephanie. So far, the Pay It Forward promotion is off to a great start. Stephanie expressed that she has been overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from the community and she hopes that the generosity will increase throughout this month. "When customers come into the restaurant and purchase a $20 meal and then they also donate $20 to help to feed needy families, they are helping a local, small business owner as well as being a blessing to a local family in need. That's truly a win-win situation", said Stephanie. Senses Vegan Comfort Food Is a restaurant is in a class all its own. They are determined to become one of the most sought-after restaurants in the city! Let's admit it: despite a proliferation of vegetable-forward restaurants in the past two decades, it can still be hard to be vegan. While vegetarian plates are usually very similar to their meat-based analogs (just add extra cheese and put an egg on it), vegan dining is a whole other beast. It doesn't work to just subtract the meat and dairy; sometimes you don't just want a salad with balsamic and olive oil. Fortunately for vegan and vegetable-loving meat eaters alike, plant-based options are getting more exciting—and extensive—everyday. Yet starting an all vegan-restaurant is still an ambitious endeavor—and scary because it relies on the strong support of a still small (but growing) demographic; To learn more about Senses Vegan and to view their scrumptious menu, visit: http://www.sensesvegan.com and be sure to drop by the restaurant, located at 2500 Church Street in Norfolk to grab a bite to eat—and to pay it forward!
