Oberon Introduces 905 Series Locking Wi-Fi Access Point Surface Mount

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Sept. 24, 2020 - PRLog -- Oberon's H-Plane™ 905 Series mounts and secures Cisco, Aruba, and other vendors' Wi-Fi Access Points directly on the wall or hard ceiling. Surface mount and protect Wi-Fi access points in indoor locations where access points may be subject to theft, vandalism, physical abuse or disconnection. The rugged steel 905 is ideal for residence halls, schools, hotels, public buildings and indoor sports and entertainment venues.

The 905 can be mounted directly over a wall outlet, thereby protecting cabling, cable termination and connectors. The 905 can be surface mounted on just about any wall or ceiling material, or it can be attached to a hanging conduit for a pendant mount in an open ceiling venue. When unlocked, the mount hinges open, permitting easy access to the cabling and connectors.

The access point is mounted and recessed into the cover of the 905, with only the antenna surface of the AP exposed, thereby minimizing impact on wireless coverage. The mount is low-profile with powder-coated white, which matches the color of the access point for minimal aesthetic disruption.

The 905 has knockouts for conduits and keystone jack modules. A TIA 569-B-compliant furniture faceplate knockout provides for cable ingress and egress other than through the wall.
