Conco Receives Gold Environmental Excellence Awards

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - Oct. 8, 2020 - PRLog -- Springfield, MO – Conco Quarries is pleased to announce that two of their locations, Galloway and Willard facilities, have been awarded the National Stone, Sand & Gravel Association's (NSSGA) Gold Environmental Award for 2020.

According to NSSGA, this achievement is given to companies that excel in meeting technical environmental and regulatory requirements. The NSSGA provides national recognition to companies contributing to the maintenance of the environment in and around their operations. The Environmental Excellence Award recognizes operations that actively demonstrate a commitment to the exemplary use of environmental controls and systems.

Out of the 81 quarries in the nation that applied for this award for 2020, only nine received the Gold achievement. Two of those nine awards went to Conco.

Conco is committed to sustainability and pollution prevention.  It implements highly professional environmental programs for employee training, waste minimization and recycling, innovative environmental controls, water management, biodiversity, community education, and quantifiable environmental results.
