National Minority Health Assn. (NMHA) Launches GoFundMe™ Campaign

OWINGS MILLS, Md. - Oct. 25, 2020 - PRLog -- The National Minority Health Association (NMHA) launches its first GoFundMe Campaign. Today, the public can support NMHA efforts through a new GoFundMe campaign. Follow this link:  https://www.gofundme.com/f/thenmha  The problem is clear:

• 72% of African Americans, 40% of Asians and 21% of Hispanics are more likely to get diabetes.
• 50% of Native American men are more likely to die from Prostate Cancer.

Healthcare is a basic necessity but unfortunately not readily available to everyone. Minority communities especially have to suffer the brunt of policies that are designed to exclude their needs and challenges when it comes to seeking healthcare. Ironically, the majority of people who contract diseases and die from it, including the recent COVID-19, are people that belong to minority communities.

One way we are addressing the problem is through raising funds to put programs in place to help minority communities attain healthier lives.
