Representation Matters: 16-year Old Paris Dorsey Becomes New Face Of Maria Raquel Thomas Cosmetics

WASHINGTON - Nov. 9, 2020 - PRLog -- Paris Dorsey, a 16-year old model from Atlanta Georgia was selected by 14-year old Maria Raquel Thomas, as the new face for her upscale signature cosmetics line, Maria Raquel Thomas Cosmetics. The cosmetic line features collections of lipgloss, eyeshadows,  and lip-care products.

"I feel proud and honored that I can represent not only brown-skin girls, but to also show the world that representation matters, "Paris states.

Paris is an honor roll student from Atlanta, GA.  The versatile 5'11" model also plays the cello and violin. She is planning on attending Columbia University to study political science and law.

"I am so excited to have Paris officially on our team. Not only does she have natural beautiful features, but she is also smart and charismatic, all the things my brand highlights. And I know she will be a great encouragement to girls around the world," states Maria Raquel Thomas.

To empower girls, Maria Raquel Thomas names each of her collections with positive reinforcement adjectives such as: Adventurous, Beautiful, Believer, Confident, etc.

"It is important for me to focus on female empowerment. To help other girls know they are not alone in their struggles and that there are solutions out there to guide them. I know that building each other up and working together can only create a better environment," Maria Raquel Thomas states.

To show the brands diversity, Maria Raquel selected another model earlier this year for her campaign ads.  Lilly Paige, was selected from a model contest earlier this year.

"I believe in diversity. As a black-owned company, my brand is not just for one race, it is for everyone. We are all in this together," Maria Raquel states.
