Empowered Flower Girl Announces If I Were President Campaign and Inauguration Day CelebrationEvent to showcase and celebrate everyday people making or aspiring to make extraordinary contributions to society
Everyday people make extraordinary contributions to our society regardless of age or occupation. Empowered Flower Girl, a social enterprise that empowers youth and youth advocates to live above life's drama and make a powerful difference, is inviting people of all ages to join its If I Were President campaign and share their ideas to make an impact in their homes, schools, communities and beyond. The campaign culminates on Monday, January 18, MLK Day, with an "inauguration" "Throughout the month of January, we will explore ways youth can tackle and solve issues in their communities as well as support and resources available to them," said Rasheda Kamaria Williams, founder and chief empowering officer for Empowered Flower Girl. Two participants will be selected during the event to receive $100 to support their initiatives. The event is free and open to the public. Advance registration is required.
