Jiffy Lube Celebrating Decades of Service from Outstanding Employees

IDAHO FALLS, Idaho - Jan. 12, 2021 - PRLog -- Jiffy Lube of Idaho Falls is celebrating the work anniversaries of five longstanding employees. Jiffy Lube has been in business for decades in the Idaho Falls area, with thanks in large part to its outstanding staff members.

John Cousin, customer service representative, has been in the lube business for 40 years. Dave Shelley, operations manager and now part-owner, has been in the lube business for 35 years. Darren Mondy, pit technician, has been in the lube business for 30 years. Rick Brown, store manager, has been with the company for 17 years. Shawn Clegg, store manager, has been with the company for 15 years.

The driving force behind any business is its employees, and Jiffy Lube works to recognize and reward the loyalty and hard work of their longest standing employees.

Dave Shelley started in the pit 35 years ago. Over the years, his excellent work ethic has seen him through multiple promotions, and he is now a part-owner of the Idaho Falls Jiffy Lube franchise. Shelley didn't necessarily plan on a future in the oil industry, but he still gave it his all. He said "When I first started, to me it was just a job, but I showed up and worked hard. I believe we create our own luck."

Of being able to move up in the company, Shelley said "It was an accomplishment moving up. I always took pride in running my store the best it could be, and cleaner than any restaurant you could walk into. Not an easy feat, but attainable."

Even though it can be hard work, Shelley loves his job. "There's a lot I love, being here for so many years. My favorite part is interacting with customers. Knowing that we do a complete service when they come in, that's rewarding. It feels good to make sure we can keep that car on the road longer, and keep that customer's investment working."
