Understanding the Words that Matter Most - A Picture Book for the Kids, Illustrated by the Kids

CAMBRIDGE, Ohio - Feb. 3, 2021 - PRLog -- An aid in opening up conversations about hard-to-understand words for children, Jacob Paul Patchen's Words That Matter series kicks off February 16 with Family.

Silly Goose doesn't understand what a family is. But he soon learns that family is the people that you care most about. Grandpa Goose tells a story about a family of fish. Kid Fish spends his birthday with his family. But Baby Sister breaks his favorite present. Tuffy, Lovey, and Silly Goose learn that families love, help, share, protect, and respect each other.

Working in partnership with the Nettleson STEAM School's ArtSquad, illustrator Cody Willoughby and Patchen created a series that is written for children between 3 and 7 years old and features colorful illustrations by the young audience it was meant for. Families, teachers, schools, guardians, mothers, fathers, and grandparents will benefit from the entertaining stories and the chance to engage in open communication with the children in their lives. Patchen uses humor and dramatization to create a story that is relatable while discussing big concept words that children may have trouble with — words like love, courage, hate, and death.
