The Cybersecurity Collaborative is a private membership community designed to help ASBO International's School District members be more successful in their fight against cyber attacks through real-time collaboration and best practices sharing with top tier cybersecurity professionals, access to a library of tools and checklists developed by CISOs, daily intelligence briefings, and other resources to prepare for, prevent, and mitigate cybersecurity threats. "The best way to address escalating cybersecurity challenges is to collaborate in a peer-to-peer network and share expertise," said David Lewis, ASBO International's executive director. "Through the Cybersecurity Collaborative, school districts will be better equipped to protect students' data and defend against potentially devastating cyberattacks." Public sector security practices continue to evolve and improve. Once focusing mainly on physical security and natural disaster preparedness, school districts now address security of networked and personal devices, mobile applications, and cloud-enabled solutions.
