WHAT: The Cafecito Series will honor actor Xolo Maridueña, best known for his role as Miguel Diaz in the Netflix hit series Cobra Kai, with the Rising Star Award on Thursday, March 25, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. ET. The event will feature an intergenerational conversation with actors Xolo Maridueña and Tony Plana, moderated by Voto Latino President and MSNBC News Contributor María Teresa Kumar. Program participants also include Latino Leaders Network Chairman Mickey Ibarra, former Texas State Senator Leticia Van de Putte, and emerging Latinx leaders featured in the Our Stories Move Us Forward: Then, Now & Tomorrow video campaign.
