Marijuana in Oregon-Green Health Eugene

Existing marijuana dispensaries were able to start recreational sales on October 1, 2015, and new retailers were able to apply to the Oregon Liquor Control Commission by January 4, 2016. It was reported that the first week recreational marijuana was legally available, $11 million in sales occurred (3). In 2020, marijuana sales in Oregon peaked to more than $1 billion (4).
