Over 56 face oils were tested by GH Beauty Lab across various price ranges and were label-masked and tested by over a thousand volunteers of numerous skin types to narrow the finalists down to the top 16. In the Lab, scientists used a device called the Corneometer to measure the moisturization effects of each formula over six hours after application. Overall, consumer testers answered over 18,000 survey questions and 1,800 Corneometer measurements were totaled to find the winners.
