GBKSOFT launches Delivery Department

NEW YORK - April 15, 2021 - PRLog -- Due to GBKSOFT expanding the frontiers, we are glad to announce that we launch a restructured and upgraded version of the project delivery department.

Hence, we present a new position in our development team  - delivery manager.

The delivery manager holds the next position after the project manager.

The delivery manager is tasked to:

• manage projects from the discovery to a release phase;
• has competency in the company's technical expertise that allows analyzing the project development quality,
• take part in the alignment of the vital technical solutions for a particular project;
• analyze the suitability of the developers experience engaged in project development;
• take part in a discovery stage of a project;
• constantly coordinate and communicate with projects managers;
• take part in the scrum processes to be fully engaged in the development and be aware of any tiny detail related to a project.

Additionally, the delivery manager can be involved in one huge project that includes several scrum teams as well as in several different projects simultaneously.

Talking about the main tasks the delivery manager should perform, it is to monitor the development lifecycle and make sure that the project - from the very beginning to the release phase - corresponds to the stated contract and delivery checklist, particularly:

• quality;
• deadlines;
• timeline.

To say a few words more about the project quality evaluation, the delivery manager aims to record the following tech metrics:

• amount of technical debt hours;
• % bug fixing vs. development time;
• % of reopened bugs;
• % bugs from regression testing;
• % of bugs by priority.

That is why the delivery manager takes part in each stage of the development process starting with the pre-sale one.
