Brown Baby Little Lady helps other girls like her recognize the best in themselves. Featuring an African-American girl as the main character, Layla speaks to the beauty and possibility that lies within each individual girl while tackling the need for diversity in children's books. Layla and her mother explored various ways to channel the strain, resulting in the writing and publication of Brown Baby, Little Lady. They also explored baking a stress-relieving indulgence. Now that things are starting to open back up, popular Atlanta cupcake chain, CamiCakes has agreed to host the launch of Brown Baby, Little Lady. An unexpected change in life resulted in an unexpected opportunity. Though Layla has participated in a few book signing events, the partnership with CamiCakes brings a new level of excitement.
