After publishing her first book, At Home on a Horse in the Woods: A Journey into Living Your Ultimate Dream, a memoir and testimony to the importance of taking your dream seriously and winner of a 2020 Equus Winnie Award, Alexander wrote Braiding Horsehair Bracelets: Your Beginner's Guide. . The book teaches how to legally obtain horsehair, prepare it for braiding, create three different braids, size the braids, attach the end caps and clasps, and care for the bracelets as well as suggested projects for those interested in further challenges.
