Ron Given, formerly with Mayer Brown, Wolf Theiss and Deloitte, joins Samson Atlantic Advisory B

Ron Given had an accomplished 30-year career with the Chicago-based law firm of Mayer Brown as a corporate and finance partner with a heavy focus on both inbound and outbound Asian and European investments for clients as well as Mayer Brown's own initial on-the-ground involvement in Japan, China and other parts of Asia. He subsequently served as the general counsel for Argo Group, a listed, Bermuda-based international specialty property and casualty insurer, playing an instrumental role in its international activities. Ron then spent more than a decade living in, practicing law and building and managing law businesses in Zagreb, Prague, Kyiv and Warsaw for the Vienna-based law firm of Wolf Theiss as well as for Deloitte.  Although he has now returned to his Chicago home, Ron remains active advancing the interests of both domestic and international businesses in a range of sectors.

With many years' first-hand experience operating, influencing, and steering businesses at the board and c-suite level across the public and private sectors, Ron brings valuable counsel and insight covering the complete business continuum, including international expansion and operations. In each of his own international postings his strategy and management directly resulted in the establishment of market leadership and dramatic increases in revenues and profitability.
