At age 24, Indian immigrant and entrepreneur Kanchan Singh successfully sold happiness. Her lucrative Crumbs & Whiskers cat cafes in L.A. and D.C. were packed daily with customers gladly paying to play and adopt cats and kittens. But no amount of money or recognition could mask the intense pain she was feeling inside – from years of childhood trauma and abuse that manifested into depression, anxiety, and self-destructive behaviors. That is, until she found an unexpected path to recovery: poetry and prose.

Her debut book, Dear Me, I Love You, chronicles Kanchan's gut-wrenching journey toward healing and self-acceptance. It serves as a paper trail documenting her recovery through poetry and prose.
