Follow on Google News | Black Complex Louisville hosts a Juneteenth Festival featuring over 30 Black owned businessesBy: Black Complex Louisville June 19th, 2021, 3PM - 9PM 129 River Road | Waterfront Park | Walking Bridge Lawn Black Complex Louisville hosts a Juneteenth Festival featuring over 30 Black owned businesses [LOUISVILLE, KY, June 17th, 2021] — On June 19th, 2021, from 3PM to 9PM EST, Black Complex Louisville is hosting a Juneteenth festival at Waterfront Park in Louisville featuring over 30 Black owned businesses, including vendors, food trucks, live concert, poetry slam, kid zone, giveaways, FREE Covid vaccinations on site, mental health resources and so much more. Music accompaniment will be provided by DJ Cyn, DJ Steele, and DJ Legit. All are welcomed to celebrate blackness, bring blankets and lawn chairs, pro black attire or pan African colors are encouraged. This festival is made possible by Black Complex Louisville and event sponsors Churchill Downs, Derby City Gaming, Kentucky Fund for the Arts, Delta Dental of Kentucky, Metro United Way, Kentucky Performing Arts, Kentucky Tourism, Arts, and Heritage Cabinet, GEDDI, RASB, LRCC, JP Davis Partners, and LOVS. "It's an extremely rewarding process to organize a gathering for our Black community in Louisville and create a platform to support Black owned businesses in honor of Juneteenth.
