Follow on Google News | Identity Podcast The Healing Power of Words Feat. Tetyana DenfordBy: Find Your ID NYC & Identity Podcast The Identity Podcast begins July with an episode to give words their chance in the spotlight. Hosts Tarik and Caleb welcome author and poet Tetyana Denford to explore the topic of grief, how creativity enhances our understanding of it, as well as how self-publishing has taught Denford a lot about how to validate art without industry boundaries. Tetyana Denford is a novelist and a poet. Denford's current book, 'Conversation With Grief' was published in April of this year, and has been reviewed incredibly well so far. This is the first book of a series of three themed books of poetry/prose coming out in 2021-- the next one will be on Motherhood, and the third will be on Love. Grief is a subject Denford started after the death of her grandmother during the start of the pandemic, and it made her realize that grief is something that we need to learn about in order to understand how love and hope work. Grief isn't the absence of love, but the existence of it, and publishing it has empowered her to change her perspective about the moments in life that cause such upheaval. Denford's first book, Motherland (published in March 2020), is a historical fiction novel based on an epic true family secret, similar to The Light Between Oceans, and has been met with critical acclaim, and was longlisted for the Readers Digest Self-Published Awards. She has also written for magazines such as Elle and Vogue, Medium, and hosts a YouTube show called 'The Craft and Business of Books' (that talks about the creative side as well as the business side to getting books out there, and she does the translation for Frontline PBS news programs.) FYID NYC's podcast allows viewers, listeners, guests, and even the hosts to further examine the meaning of "identity." The Identity Podcast presents The Healing Power of Words on Wednesday, July 7th at 7:15 p.m. EST on Find Your ID NYC's Facebook, Twitch, and Youtube at the Identity Podcast. Viewers can also listen to the show on all streaming platforms. Additional information is available to the press. Please email press@findyouridnyc.com with any questions.
