TOKYO, Japan - July 23, 2021 - PRLog -- Multi-award-wining filmmaker and recipient of the "Hero of Freedom" award, Klaudia Kovács, reveals her next feature-length project, CHILDREN OF CHAMPIONS. The film delves into the relationship between elite athletic performance and parenting success - a previously unexamined topic.

The story is told by a diverse group of high-profile Olympians, their children, and Kovács, who herself was parented by an Olympian mother: Hungarian swimmer, Éva Erdélyi, who competed in the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

In addition, performance and clinical psychologists will comment on the successful parenting elements of those who are extraordinary achievers and how they transcend greatness beyond sport performance in a family setting.

With CHILDREN OF CHAMPIONS, Kovács's intent is to "make an entertaining, globally appealing, cinematically rich, family-friendly movie that supports and strengthens modern parents and children alike."

An increasing number of organizations and experts assured CHILDREN OF CHAMPIONS of their support: the Hungarian Olympic Committee, the International Society of Olympic Historians, the Hungarian Swimming Association, the Sport Museum of Eger, Hungary, and Tokyo Olympic Expert and Historian, Roy Tomizawa. The International Documentary Association will provide the fiscal sponsorship for Japanese corporations that wish to support the interviews of champion families from the Land of the Rising Sun.

Kovács, an immigrant who currently lives in the City of Los Angeles, also hopes to build a close collaboration with the organizing committee of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games, so that CHILDREN OF CHAMPIONS can be screened leading up to the significant Southern California sport event.

Director, Klaudia Kovács, is known for TORN FROM THE FLAG, a previous Oscar contender in the "Best Documentary" category that was also invited and presented to the United States Congress by late U.S. Representative and human rights activist, Tom Lantos. The eight-time-award-winning documentary-thriller is about the Cold War, the fall of Communism, and the global effects of the 1956 Hungarian Revolution. Oscar-winning cinematographer Vilmos Zsigmond, A.S.C., and multi-award-winning cinematographer László Kovács, A.S.C., acted as Executive Producers.
