Follow on Google News | ![]() Center for Excellence in Education Welcomes New StaffA native of the DC Metro Area, Laura-Ashley Alegbeleye earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI), and a M.A. in Teaching from Loyola University Maryland. She comes to CEE after working eight years as a high school STEM educator, and has taught in private, public, and charter schools. Prior to transitioning to STEM education, Laura-Ashley worked in the engineering industry as an Application Engineer. Laura-Ashley is passionate about diversity in both STEM education and industry, and she is excited to continue working with teachers to nurture students toward STEM careers. Zach Lipkin graduated from the College of William & Mary with a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Economics. He served as a high school mathematics teacher at KIPP Collegiate in Nashville, through the Teach For America program. He also served as a volunteer for Camp Kesem, the largest national organization dedicated to supporting children impacted by a parent's cancer. In his free time, Zach enjoys cooking, cycling, and writing poetry. Zach looks forward to contributing to CEE through applying his diverse educational experiences.
