ST. PAUL, Minn. - July 31, 2021 - PRLog -- Young people often see events unfolding around them and feel there's nothing they can do to make a difference. The Youth Leadership Portal launched by Planting People Growing Justiceā„¢ Leadership Institute (PPGJLI) is changing that by showing children that they can be leaders and a catalyst for change now and throughout their lifetime.

Dr. Artika Tyner, founder of PPGJLI, is also an award-winning author. She utilizes her book "Justice Makes a Difference: The Story of Miss Freedom Fighter, Esquire" as a teaching tool at the Portal and visitors can read the book online with Tyner. Children can also listen to a special message from Tyner and explore W.I.N for succeeding in life. W.I.N. stands for Welcoming new opportunities every day, Imagine your future, and Never give up.

Visitors to the Portal will discover that they can dare to dream big through W.I.N (https://www.ppgjli.org/bealeader). and a free learning guide is available for download. The Portal provides children with age-appropriate ideas on how they can become leaders to make their community a better place to live for themselves and others. The Portal provides ideas for overcoming challenges, helping others, and learning skills that will aid them throughout life.

Youth will explore ways in which they can be a leader through activities ranging from helping to start a community garden, being a soldier for justice by becoming a lawyer, or volunteering at organizations encompassing food pantries and senior centers to animal shelters. Children are the future and they have the ability to inspire family and friends.

The launch of the Youth Leadership Portal by PPGJLI is an important tool for helping children discover their inner leader, while being an inspiration to others. At the portal, Tyner (https://www.artikatyner.com/) helps children learn that being a leader is akin to having a superpower to help others. The Youth Leadership Portal was made possible with the generous support of Power of 100 MSP.
