LONG BEACH, Calif. - Aug. 11, 2021 - PRLog -- Scrum Adventures, Inc., a professional IT consulting firm providing Agile coaching, training, and transformation services, announces today its release of a new tool built for Scrum teams—their Sprint Capacity Planner. By tracking Capacity and calculating Velocity inside a clean UI, this dashboard tool allows the Scrum team to efficiently estimate its productivity in the Sprint.

Scrum Adventures knows that a fundamental Agile principle is the consistent delivery of value. Agile processes are designed to promote sustainable development so that the team can continuously deliver. But even Agile teams can face challenges when setting goals and making commitments. Without calculating Velocity — a critical indication of the average amount of Product Backlog turned into an Increment — it can be difficult for the Scrum team to forecast how much can be delivered within a set timeframe.

That is where Scrum Adventures' Sprint Capacity Planner comes in — one of the tools that belongs to their CaDoMi™ Ecosystem. It tracks Yesterday's Weather to help teams estimate the future flow of progress so they can make commitments. Built with the Scrum team's sustained output in mind, the Sprint Capacity Planner presents key metrics for dynamic Sprint Planning: Velocity and targets for Kaizen, Interrupt, and Increment points. It works alongside the Team Capacity Calculator, another tool in the CaDoMi™ Ecosystem that allows a Scrum team to enter the availability and allocation of up to ten team members.

Using the Sprint Capacity Planner is simple: to predict the next Sprint, the Scrum team inputs information about the current Sprint and the last Sprint into a dashboard (and to get the most accurate estimation, the team can enter up to three of their last Sprints). Alongside the Team Capacity and previous Sprint's Velocity, the future Sprint is forecast. This can help the team in prioritizing user stories and identifying crucial opportunities for future improvement.
