Follow on Google News | Local Couple Launches Home Helpers Home Care Franchise in Fremont and Union City"Caring for a loved one can be a struggle and it's OK to need help, even for just a few hours a week. We've both had loved ones who were diagnosed with cancer and we saw how difficult it was for our families to provide the kind of care they needed. That helped us realize, if that's something our families struggled with, we couldn't be alone. When we decided to open our own business, we were drawn to Home Helpers Home Care to help families like ours," Nair said. Home Helpers offers the industry's leading model for comprehensive care with its unique care program, Cared-4SM, which provides the four necessary components to living independently. This includes Personal Care and Companionship, Nutrition and Meal Planning, 24/7 Emergency Response, and Wellness Calls to help ensure medications and hydration are maintained. "What we do at Home Helpers is really about connecting caring people with people in need of care. We get to meet amazing families looking for help and incredible caregivers looking to provide top-notch, compassionate, professional care. At the end of the day, what we do enables our caregivers, our families and ourselves to go to bed knowing they've made an impact," Salunkhe said. Nair and Salunkhe both have their MBAs and have a combined 35 years of experience in the high-technology industry, including backgrounds in business operations. They were both born in India and moved to the United States more than 20 years ago. They've lived in California for more than a decade but, before that, they lived in the Blue Ridge Mountains in Lynchburg, Virginia, and then Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. They have a daughter, Trisha Nair, who plans to go into the medical field. "The pandemic gave us an opportunity to reflect on our lives, the work we were doing and the impact we were making on the world. Through that process, we started to ask ourselves, 'What's the point? What's our why? What are we actually doing other than just going to work?' This franchise gives us an opportunity to make a difference and to improve the lives of people here in our community," Nair said.
