Hearne Local, Kyle Castilleja, Puts Focus On Local Teachers

HEARNE, Texas - Aug. 25, 2021 - PRLog -- Kyle Castilleja, is not just a football player, he is a father and an educator who knows how important our teachers are. He also knows, from experience, the love teachers have for their students and all the time and effort they put into making their classroom exactly what the students need. As schools resume sessions across the country, Kyle has chosen a fellow local colleague to sponsor for this school year.

Kyle Castilleja was born in Bryan, TX but raised in Hearne, TX. Kyle attended the Hearne public schools and upon graduating from Southwestern University, he moved back home to raise his own family and work as a Special Education teacher at Hearne Junior High School all while pursuing his dream of playing professional football. To say Hearne has a special place in his heart is an understatement.

Kyle Castilleja loves his community and is always on the lookout for opportunities to give back. With the new school year, he felt a push to help a fellow teacher with the financial burden so many teachers face.

"Teachers are not appreciated enough for all that they do," says Castilleja. "They are so important to the development of our children. They deserve more recognition and I hope we can do that as a community."

Kyle has chosen to highlight Mrs. Brammer, an 8th-grade science teacher at Hearne Jr. High. He worked with her to come up with an Amazon Wish List of supplies that will greatly help her classroom and her students.  While Kyle works to gather contributions for Mrs. Brammer's classroom, he encourages the local community to get involved as well.
