BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. - Aug. 30, 2021 - PRLog -- Private Chefs Inc is the world's elite private chef's placement agency, with the head-office in Beverly Hills and branches in New York, Palm Beach, San Francisco, Dallas, Washington DC, London and Hong Kong. www.privatechefsinc.com

While private estates across the country are finally staffing their state-of-the-art kitchens once again, the placement agencies are struggling to fill chef positions. It turns out that there's a major shortage of culinary artists to create delicious fare for discerning palates.

"Right now, we have approximately 18 full-time positions to fill for high-net-worth individuals, but half of those openings don't have enough qualified candidates," bemoans Christian Paier, of Private Chefs, Inc. The premier placement agency has headquarters in Beverly Hills and serves America's A-list celebrities, sports stars, musicians, captains of industry and political elite through its branches all over the USA. "The wealthy are still spending but staffing has become more difficult."

"I'm prepping a high-end party for 160 right now, but I can't find enough help," adds Jimmy Nadell, owner of Bravo Fine Catering in Aspen, Colo.

Where did all the chefs go?

One possibility is that Covid pandemic fears forced laid-off chefs to switch gears. Some pivoted to drop-off catering, where they could still serve clients but cook from the comfort, safety, and convenience of their own homes, thus freeing up time to spend with their own families. Others changed careers completely, preferring to follow other passions, study new pursuits online, or even take on lower paying jobs in other industries for the benefit of leisurely weekends with loved ones. Now that private clients are beckoning again, many chefs are reluctant to return to the industry.

"Pre-Covid, we would get around 30 new applicants a month. The majority were chefs with extensive restaurant experience looking to transition to private homes," says Paier. "Right now, the restaurants themselves are looking for chefs."

"The food service industry across the USA has been severely impacted," agrees Kamal Kapur of the iconic Rose Café in Venice, California. "Many restaurants are cutting back on hours of operation because they can't find enough staff. Some have even had to close."

"Private Chefs Inc. is now actively searching for new talent with the experience and skills to serve our valued clients," announces Paier. "We've been putting around $4,000 a month in marketing across all social media platforms.

"For example, in New York City, and surrounding areas like northern NJ and even Boston, we have many high-end clients who are looking for private chefs to hire, but are finding it difficult to find a private chef in the New York area, and New England in general," Paier added.

We encourage chefs to look at our website https://privatechefsinc.com/category/jobs/ and our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/privatechefsinc  (410,000 followers) for job postings and find out what's available."

It's never been a better time to be a private chef.
