The $1.4M round, with participating from a group of super angels, will be used to launch the company and accelerate their go-to-market strategy.
Fortius Metals is a large format additive manufacturing company that specializes in new materials, helping customers develop solutions previously not possible with robotic 3D printing. Fortius Metals' patented technology will introduce high performance metal alloys that meet the demands of aerospace customers and robotic welding fabricators. Fortius welds are just as strong as traditional aircraft aluminum, which helps customers increase design performance and reduce weight. Fortius is a spinout from Elementum 3D, headquartered in Erie, CO, which has already patented and commercialized this technology for powder bed fusion additive manufacturing.
