Matt advises that you can use everyday tools including masks, goggles, fans, dehumidifiers, and shop vacs to do the cleanup work.  Matt lays out a step-by-step process.
1.    Protect yourself – turn off power, gas, and your personal protective equipment to avoid skin contact
2.    Take pictures and videos for insurance to establish the flood lines
3.    Throw out damaged materials and items one foot above the flood line
4.    Clean – use the shop vac to remove water
5.    Get rid of bacteria with household cleaners
6.    Dry out with a box fan or dehumidifier
7.    Spray mold control products
