Explore Knowledge Academy Invited Speaker Christina Aldan

LAS VEGAS - Sept. 25, 2021 - PRLog -- Speaker Christina Aldan co-presented a talk to high school students at the Explore Knowledge Academy virtually in Las Vegas, Nevada at the beginning of the month. Christina represented her work serving on the board of directors for the Avery Burton Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit focused on mental health awareness. Ms. Aldan is an international speaker and brand strategy consultant for Arana Software. The event was Tuesday, September 7th, 2021. Zoom video conferencing was the technology used to present. Christina discussed why mental health is important and why providing culturally-competent resources for mental health is key to cultivating resiliency. This was an internal academic event for students and teachers. Participants walked away with tips for cultivating emotional intelligence and ways to improve resilience. Also speaking during the event was Reggie Burton, founder of the Avery Burton Foundation and RB Group. Mr. Burton reviewed tips for an action plan for someone who is experiencing a mental health crisis. Both Ms. Aldan and Mr. Burton are certified in Mental Health First Aid.
