By: SmartLight Analytics The new office is located at 4965 Preston Park Blvd. in Plano, TX, and provides ample space for meetings with a growing list of clients as well as expected future growth for the SmartLight Analytics team. The new headquarters will allow SmartLight to hold more in-person meetings and create a more focused environment for strategic planning, client-focused conferences, and gatherings. The opening comes amid continued surges in COVID-19 cases in Texas, therefore, the SmartLight Board of Directors – using CDC and OSHA guidance as well as local and legal expertise – created a COVID-19 safety policy to help protect employees and create a safe, healthy, and productive physical environment. SmartLight Analytics was founded in 2016 by Asha George and Franklin E. Baumann, MD, as a direct response to the growing problem of fraud, waste, and abuse in healthcare spending. George, SmartLight Analytics' Chief Executive Officer, wanted to provide a solution for large self-funded employers who were losing millions to fraud and waste. She partnered with Dr. Baumann, SmartLight Analytics' Chief Medical Officer, to bring in his knowledge of both the clinical and insurance side of healthcare. Together they have grown the company to now work with such large employers as Dean Foods, Prudential, International Paper, and the City of Fort Worth, the nation's 12th largest city and one of its fastest growing. SmartLight has worked with the Texas Healthcare Challenge and partnered with Health Transformation Alliance in May of 2020 to begin working with some of the nation's largest employers. The company won the 2020 Excellence in Healthcare Award for "Achievement in Innovation" presented by DMagazine. In early 2010, SmartLight welcomed Bill Young, who spent 20 years as a federal healthcare fraud investigator, as its director of operations. "With the opening of our new headquarters, we are now prepared for our anticipated growth as more and more large employers are finding it increasingly difficult to manage the rising cost of healthcare for their employees and their dependents," For more information, visit https://www.smartlightanalytics.com End
