"WORLD PHARMACIST DAY" Celebration at IIMT College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida

GREATER NOIDA, India - Oct. 4, 2021 - PRLog -- World Pharmacist Day is celebrated on the 25^th of September 2021 at IIMT College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida with the theme "Pharmacy- Always trusted for your health" to recognize the role of Pharmacists in healthcare particularly during the covid-19 pandemic.

Trust is a central part of all human relationships, also essential to healthcare. Across diverse conditions, patients reported greater satisfaction with treatment, showed more beneficial health behavior and fewer symptoms, and experienced improved quality of life when they had higher trust in their healthcare professionals.

With the same spirit, IIMT college of Pharmacy celebrated World Pharmacist Day on the college campus by organizing various online as well as offline events simultaneously. During online events, the purpose and meaning of the Pharmacist oath were conveyed to students and other activities like Poster making competitions, Pharma Video clips with a noble message. Pharma Emoji games were organized to make events more valuable, interesting, and knowledgeable.

Also, free diabetes awareness cum medical camp health checkup camp was organized in association with Ms. Divya Multispecialty Hospital, Dhankaur. A health team from the hospital conducted diabetes awareness cum medical camp with student volunteers under the supervision of Dr. Sashir Pandey MBBS, MD.

Health checkup camp was a huge success, indeed. Many people from nearby areas and distant as well, visited and get screened their Health in the camp, and at the end of the day, every individual was satisfied and happy with the services and help the college offered, towards the humanity. The whole motive behind all these activities and this free health checkup camp were to promote and elevate the trust for Pharmacist and acknowledge their value in our healthcare system.

Chief Guest, Dr. Sashir Pandey inaugurated the camp and, extended greetings congratulated all the pharmacists, and motivated all the participants through his refreshing speech regarding the value of Pharmacists and the possible positive outcomes that are seen when all the people of the Health care system work together as a team. Certificates were awarded to all the winners and volunteers. Dr Mallikarjuna  BP the Director IIMT college of pharmacy explained the importance of pharmacist day celebration and the trust between the patient and pharmacist during his welcome speech and later extended appreciation and thanks to all.

The purpose of the whole event was to encourage activities that promote and advocate for the role of the Pharmacist in improving health in every corner of the world, the IIMT Group of Colleges on its social obligations committed to providing a value-driven culture along with creating a professional environment with vision enduring the legacy of motivation, Guiding towards goals and accomplishments.
