One of the things will be closely watching is the results of the policy-setting meeting of the Federal Reserve, which will generally give investors an idea when the tapering of the asset purchase program will be announced and started. They will also be watching out for the new prints of economic reports as well as the earnings reports coming in this week. No earnings report is scheduled to be released on Monday, while the NAHB Housing Market Index for September will be released. It is expected go down and get a rating of 74 versus August's 75 rating. Tuesday will be started with the earnings reports of AutoZone before the session opens, followed by the economic reports coming in including the August month-to-month of Housing starts (increasing from -0.7% in July to expected 1.0%), month-to-month August report of Building permits (decreasing from 2.3% in July to expected -1.8%), and the Q2 Current Account Balance print (anticipating -$191.0 billion vs -$195.7 billion for Q1). The earnings report of Aurora Cannabis, Adobe, StitchFix and FedEx will be released after session wrap. On Wednesday, General Mills and Rite Aid will be releasing their earnings report before the market opens. The economic reports getting released on Wednesday includes the weekly MBA Mortgage Application report for the week ending September 17, August month-to-month Existing Home sales (expecting -2.0%, a drop compared to July's 2.0%), and the much awaited FOMC Policy decision. After the market closes, the earnings report of KB Home and BlackBerry will also be announced. Darden Restaurants will release their earnings print on Thursday prior start of session, while the economic reports include the Chicago Fed National Activity Index for August (expected to drop to 0.50 against 0.53 in July), Leading Index for August (expected to decrease to 0.6% vs July's 0.9%), September preliminary reports for Markit Manufacturing PMI and Markit Services PMI, Initial jobless claims for week ending September 18 and the continuing claims for week ending September 11. Nike, Costco and Vail Resorts will release their earnings reports after market close.
