Charlotte Stylist Begins Monthly Program to Provide Free Styling for Ladies Impacted by Hair Loss

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Oct. 13, 2021 - PRLog -- Announced in September, the Styles for Smilz initiative through Styles OnTop Beauty and the 60 Second Clip N Go Hair Topper™ hosted its first monthly styling session Sunday, October 10, 2021. Each month, two Charlotte-area women impacted by hair loss will be chosen to receive a custom hair topper and styling session.

The two ladies that received the Styles for Smilz session had two different hair journeys but shared the want and need to do something different to help them along their journey. Sandra, a retired educator, shared that her hair loss was attributed to stress and trauma within the last two years. She has been treated by a hair restoration specialist and has seen results but wants some different styling options. Nicole, an employee of a financial institution, says that has been managing her alopecia for over 20 years. Unlike Sandra, many of the treatments and styling options did not work for her and she was looking forward to a styling option that will allow her more comfort and freedom.

After a virtual consultation with Argentina Harris, each lady received a custom hair topper - cut to their specific coverage needs and styled to fit their lifestyle needs. During the styling sessions, they also received instruction on how to remove and install the topper - providing emphasis on the quick, DIY feature and removing the need for constant salon and barber visits. One of the ladies indicated that due to her significant hair loss, she had stopped going to the salon because she did not want to be seen, which is often the case for ladies impacted by hair loss.

Harris says, "As women we sometimes care for others at our own expense and I want to give back that little piece of "self" to as many women as possible." She is looking forward to hearing from more ladies so she can trade more Styles for Smilz.

With plans to reach as many women as possible, Styles On Top Beauty and Styles for Smilz will host educational sessions on how to measure and choose hair toppers. Additionally, plans are underway for a summit that will address the holistic approach to hair loss and will cover topics such as mental health, diet/nutrition and hair loss management.
