By: Melbadelphia Marketing & Promotions Nicole was born with a muscular disease called Reducing Body Myopathy, which affects all her muscles. She uses a power wheelchair to get around, using her fingertips to control the movement, in addition to being on a Trach Tube and Ventilator. Nicole needs a reliable van to go to regular doctors' appointments, and also to get out and enjoy life. While she currently has a 2004 van, it is falling apart, despite recent major repairs. Nicole and her family rent different vans, if the trips are not local, as there is too much risk in taking the 2004 van anywhere other than local. Nicole would love to purchase a newer, safe and reliable van and recently found a custom-fitted, used 2012 Toyota Sienna with 36K miles, the perfect setup. It has a seat directly beside Nicole and a bench seat in the back. It's located at Mobility Works in Delaware. The guys call it a "Unicorn" because not many vans come in like this however it is $40,000. Yep, they don't come cheap!! It's in excellent condition and was cared for with love by an elderly couple. Contributions of any amount will go towards the purchase of this one of a kind van from Mobility Works in Bear, Delaware. So far, $12,000 has been raised, a great start towards the $28,000 needed. Nicole and her family thank you in advance.
