Boise Bicycle Project Receives Funds from R&R BBQ Grand Opening in Boise

BOISE, Idaho - Oct. 30, 2021 - PRLog -- The week leading up to the grand opening for R&R BBQ on 8^th Street in Boise this month was filled with fun events including a party for the media, a VIP event, and a ribbon-cutting with the Boise Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce. The grand finale for R&R BBQ was being able to present the Boise Bicycle Project with $3,090 following the grand opening to aid in funding holiday initiatives.

The funds graciously donated by R&R BBQ will be rolling into the annual Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway program. Some days it is hard to decide what to do next, how to feel better. Helping others and putting smiles on the faces of kids make everyone feel better! The giveaway is for children ages 2-11. Funds and volunteers are always needed. This year, the giveaway will be held on December 18, 2021.

"When I was a child, riding a bike was one of the best things in the world. We are glad to be able to provide funds to help make the Holiday Kids Bike Giveaway happen," said Neil Harfert, president of R&R BBQ. "We are proud to bring R&R BBQ to downtown Boise, making this our second restaurant in Idaho, and we look forward to helping the hungry over the holidays this year too."

Children are referred to the Boise Bicycle Project (BBP) for the giveaway by local non-profit organizations, schools, social workers, after-school programs, and other like-minded organizations. "When R&R chose BBP to benefit from their opening weekend proceeds, they may not have known how many kids they'd be directly impacting on the day of our giveaway.
