designation for 2021. This award was presented on Thursday, November 4, 2021, by NAEPC leadership during a special virtual award ceremony.
Tom is one of only nine estate planning professionals to receive this prestigious award in 2021, which is given annually in recognition of lifetime achievement and outstanding contributions to the practice and profession of estate planning within the professional disciplines of academia, accounting, insurance and financial planning, law, philanthropy, and trust services.

Tom is also co-founder and VP of Financial Planning Advocate, LLC, a provider of continuing education for CPA's, financial advisers, universities, and colleges. Mr. Tillery is the co-author of Essentials of Personal Financial Planning, a textbook used by universities in graduate programs in accounting, business, and law. Additionally, Tom has co-authored The AICPA Personal Financial Planning Certificate Program.
