All For One Foundation Responding to Wellington Explosion, Sierra Leone

ATLANTA - Nov. 11, 2021 - PRLog -- On Friday, a truck collided with a tanker truck, causing fuel to leak in the surrounding area. This collision happened about 800 feet from the All For One Child Prosperity Centre in Sierra Leone. Soon after the collision, the truck exploded, killing and severely injuring many. Since that night, 138 people have died, and over 100 are injured, with dozens still in the hospital fighting for their lives with up to 90% burns.

Since then, the All For One Centre has acted as a hub for emergency response. Our in-country Consultants, Jonathon Donoghue and Katie Milazzo have been part of top-tier emergency response coordination and implementation, including victim identification, contact tracing, transportation of those injured, and several assessments of the damage to property and homes.

Throughout this difficult time, All For One has partnered with both the government of Sierra Leone, as well as leading NGOs such as Red Cross, WHO, Goal, Concern, Handicap International, and various Ministries for different aspects of emergency response.

Although we are not officially open, the facility has played an important role in this emergency, offering a safe space for those grieving to come and receive counseling services, as well as vital coordination meetings right near the scene of the accident."
