By: USPAACC USPAACC National President & CEO Susan Au Allen made the virtual announcement as corporate members, Asian American businesses, federal and state government representatives, and USPAACC board and regional chapter leadership joined the live meeting to lend their support. "It is time for us to recognize these agents of change, champions of diversity and inclusion, who are steadfastly committed to helping to ensure the communities they serve would grow and thrive," said Allen. SUPPLIER DIVERSITY CHAMPIONS will recognize corporations that show increase in their supplier diversity spend. This growth-based initiative has been in development for over a year, according to Allen, and it was President Biden's Executive Order 13985 instructing all federal agencies to increase their purchase from minority businesses from 5% to 15% in the next five years, that has propelled USPAACC to officially announce this new program at the conclusion of a successful SYNERGY FORWARD national conference today. The new program was announced on the third day of CelebrASIAN Business Development Conference Part 2. The first part was held in early June, also through a virtual platform.
