New Medical Equipment Products Added To CME's Nearly $50 Million Contract with Government Agencies

WARWICK, R.I. - Nov. 19, 2021 - PRLog -- CME Corp (CME), America's largest equipment-only, national distributor of medical products, is pleased to announce a significant product expansion to its 2020  $49.5 million Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Department of Defense (DOD) contract, enabling the company to now provide thousands of new products to an array of federal government agencies.

Under the contract modification, CME will make available more than 4,000 new items from eight manufacturers, as well as more product categories, for the five-year contract. Some products include UVC disinfection devices, suction and gas regulators, flowmeters, blenders, and portable suction equipment, plus an expansion of CME's other product categories including lighting, scale, and cart offerings.

Under the DLA's medical supply chain system known as ECAT, an online system that streamlines ordering, distribution and payment of pharmaceutical, medical, and surgical equipment, the products will be eligible for use by the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps, along with the Veterans Administration and Indian Health Services, a division of the U.S. Department of Health & Human Services. Other prominent federal customers of ECAT include the departments of Homeland Security, Justice, and State, and the U.S. Agency for International Development.

CME's DLA contract #SPE2DH20D0046, awarded by Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support from Philadelphia, and the new modification represent additional wins for CME after a previous, successful contract inked with the DOD in 2018 for $16.275 million.
