Mizner Country Club's Play For P.I.N.K. Committee Raises $30,000

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 30, 2021 - PRLog -- Mizner Country Club's Play for P.I.N.K. Committee announced they recently raised $30,000 from a three-day fundraising campaign with their members at the Club.  Events were held October 16-20, 2021, and included golf and tennis tournaments, and a silent auction.  Proceeds from the three days of fundraising go to Play for P.I.N.K. (Prevention, Immediate Diagnosis, Technology, Knowledge), a grassroots women's organization that raises money for breast cancer research.

Nancy Marino, Mizner's Play for P.I.N.K. Chairwoman, who also sits on the Club's Foundation Board,  expressed, "I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to all our members whose generosity helped make this year's event such a great success. A special thank you goes out to our committee members and sponsors for their tireless efforts in organizing this year's event here at Mizner.

"It was a fun-packed time gathering friends and sharing a special bond to give to this incredibly worthwhile organization.  Each year, more than 30,000 individuals participate in 300 events across 30 states on behalf of Play for P.I.N.K. 100% of the proceeds from all of the tournaments and events are donated to their sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF)."

Mrs. Marino notes that BCRF currently supports the work of 275 researchers at leading academic and medical institutions worldwide. "We're honored that Mizner could play a role in breast cancer research and saving the life of even one person in the future," she said.

Marie Mitchalk, Mizner Country Club's Director of Membership, said, "It is so gratifying to see the outpouring of support our membership has shown for this worthy cause. Our dedicated group of volunteers, led by Nancy Marino, brought our community together to help breast cancer research. Their efforts truly enforce our motto – We are Mizner."
