Hadassah Metro Los Angeles Installs Two New Co-Presidents for 2022 on December 8th

South Bay's Margie Lunt and Pomona's Dina Lane to Jointly Lead Hadassah's Metro Los Angeles Region

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 30, 2021 - PRLog -- The Metro Los Angeles Region of Hadassah the Women's Zionist Organization of America, Inc. (HWZOA) announces that Margie Lunt, of San Pedro, CA, immediate past co-president of the Metro Los Angeles Region as well as current co-president of South Bay's L'Dor V'Dor Hadassah group, and Dina Lane, Pomona, CA who served as Metro's Membership and Advocacy Chair, will lead the organization through 2022. Their combined focus will be to bring awareness to and staunch the rise of antisemitism in the Greater Los Angeles area, to increase membership and fundraising activities, and to continue to grow Hadassah organically - L'Dor V'Dor ("from generation to generation"). Installation will take place on December 8th.

Ms. Lunt and Ms. Lane will assume their new leadership roles on January 1, 2022, succeeding Maureen Bernstein who co-chaired with Ms. Lunt last year.

A former organizer of the Jewish Nurses Council where she met and worked with Hadassah Past National President Nancy Falchuck, Margie Lunt has held various programming and membership positions as well as presidency posts within the L'Dor V'Dor's group and Metro's regional Hadassah chapter. Among her most important achievements, the South Bay's active participation in the new Hadassah groups L'Dor V'Dor for Hadassah's mature membership locally, and Adira for younger women with children still at home. Lane, a Hadassah 40-year Hadassah Life Member has served as the editor of Hadassah's Sharon Group Newsletter in addition to serving as treasurer and co-president of that Inland Empire board. She is also a Hadassah Keeper of the Gate.

A native New Yorker, Dina Lunt grew up in Rego Park, Queens, NY. She attended Northeastern University where she graduated as a Registered Nurse and went on to NYU where she earned her MS in Health Ed. She has served as Women's Health Chair on the Hadassah Los Angeles Metro Board and is currently a docent for the Holocaust Museum in Los Angeles as well as chair of the Bereavement Committee at her local South Bay synagogue. Ms. Lane is currently a member of her local synagogue in the Pomona area. For the past 9 years, Lane has served as a trustee as well as a member of the Israel Committee on her temple's board. Lane received an MBA and MSBA in Entrepreneurship from California State Polytechnic University and a BA from the University of Redlands.
