Chong the Nomad's raw and intimate performance video for "Undervelvet" is here

SEATTLE - Dec. 1, 2021 - PRLog -- Six of Seattle's rising female singer-songwriters, representing a diverse spectrum of culture and sound, are  featured on Rain City Relief (http://raincityrelief.com), a vinyl compilation record and music video series. The goal of this project is provide fans and local businesses with a way to support Seattle artists who are working hard to recover from the impact of the Pandemic.

Today, RCR is releasing a groundbreaking raw and haunting performance video of rising Seattle artist Chong the Nomad's song "Undervelvet." (https://youtu.be/0w1dUkV44Zk)  Fans will be surprised to see a new side of this artist whose work is being included in feature films and Netflix series.



The record is produced by Rain City Relief, a consortium of businesses and the Seattle World Tour Foundation's Artist Relief fund, dedicated to giving back to the Seattle music scene, especially in the wake of COVIDs disruptions.

"We handpicked ten of Seattle's top emerging artists for the record" Says Adam Simon, owner of The Reef Cannabis whose company spearheaded the effort. "By the time we got to the studio, we realized the new sound from Seattle  was being written and sung by women."

The new album features first-ever debuts and several emotional ballads from these women.  The lineup also includes The Black Tones' grunged guitars and Smokey Brights' 70s rock n' roll, led by husband & wife, Kim West and Ryan Devlin.

Rain City Relief has been dropping new tracks weekly and has showcased three of these artists.  Intimate videos of the four first female songwriters can be found at www.raincityrelief.com, where the album is now available for presale.  75% of the proceeds from record sales go directly to artists and 25% goes to the Seattle World Tour Foundation (https://www.seattleworldtour.org/)'s Artist Relief Fund.
