She is the eldest of five children and has had a fascination for writing from a very young age. When she was six, she entered a writing contest, and when she was twelve she won Overall Excellence in the Northside ISD PTA Reflections contest in middle school literature. The Ageless Gem, Raeann's first book and the first book in The Ageless Gem Series, was written when she was eleven.
